Game Night

We played princess dominos and princess memory match tonight as a family, Lauren included.  Lauren had her own pile of dominos and picked which one she wanted to play, oddly enough many times she had the right tile.  Emma was helping her play and then Lauren was eating her game pieces. They read books together, Lauren is starting to turn pages and Emma can read several books to her including Green Hat Yellow Hat, Hippos go Bezerk and brown bear.

We put Lauren in the baby bathtub this week, she LOVES it, she splashes her hands and feet and just laughs and since she has such a big head I had to get her a new winter hat 12-24 month size because it's so big, full of brains I hope!

Emma was helping me feed Lauren sweet potatoes, she did a great job, such a good helper for us.

Sister Lauren Elizabeth Love

Lauren was playing with my scarf and put it on her head, she looked like a nun, ryan and I always laugh that both our girls have good nun-like names (Sr. Lauren Elizabeth, Sr. Emma Cathryn) I would like grandbabies someday so let's hope not.

Sensory bin and Sweet potatoes

I made a baby sensory bin full of lots of textured toys today, she loved dumping the bucket and finding new toys inside including the soft silky scarf.  We also tried sweet potatoes this week, she LOVES them and so far no allergic reactions to orange foods like Emma had (Thank Goodness).

Trouble maker

I left my oatmeal bowl on the floor by the boppy to help Emma with something on Saturday morning, we heard clanking, I thought it was ryan who had gotten up from bed, well, we came out to the living room and found Lauren had rolled out of her boppy and over to the oatmeal bowl and was trying to eat some, she LOVES oatmeal !

She wakes up so super happy in the morning and after naps, just love her so much!

Calling Daddy

I had called Ryan on the cell this morning because I couldn't find laundry soap and it was freezing in our house, yes these are the issues I deal with being at home all day, Lauren was talking on the phone to him cooing, etc.  I hung up, set the phone on the floor by her boppy and left the room for a sec when I came back in, she had crawled out of her boppy and was eating my cell, apparently she wasn't done talking to daddy, so I went and found her own cell phone

Washing dishes

 I told Emma we needed to wash her tea set after our playdate yesterday so she agreed to learn to wash dishes, she washed 2 whole tea sets and did a great job

Feeding myself

We have given Lauren a little bit of oatmeal here and there the past week, she LOVES it, cries when we take the spoon away so she decided she would take things in her own hands and keep the spoon when we fed her tonight.

Little Sweetie

Lauren snuggling with her new froggy puppet from St. Nick and then she surprised me while I was making soup on Monday she turned her exersaucer around and was playing with the leap frog toys on the fridge (Letters and farm animals)

December Fun

 

Advent calendar activities this week included opening a new pair of christmas jammies (strawberry shortcake for Emma and santa ruffles for Lauren) and a new ornament for the tree (Belle, not pictured)

We made wreaths and trees on tuesday

I surprised Emma on Monday and decorated her doll house for Christmas, she believes santa made a visit to the princess castle - big smiles

 I made Emma a Christmas bath as part of her advent calendar activities, red and green "bubbles", balloons, foam trees to decorate and candy canes, she loved it!
