Emma wanted to play outside when we got home today, Lauren slept part of the time and then woke up so we put her in the swing and then she went down the slide with Emma. Emma loved pushing her in the swing and holding her on the slide.

Lauren Love
Lauren was trying to be like mommy and doing leg stretches while grabbing her toes all while sitting on Papa's lap this week. She was chilling with daddy on the couch watching a movie and got her first real bath in the tub with Emma, I wanted her to breathe in the bath vapors since both girls (entire family) have really bad colds right now. Emma and I made reindeer sandwiches for dinner tonight, they were really cute and it was something she actually ate the whole thing and wanted more.
Tumble Stars
Emma goes to Tumble stars class on Thursday mornings, she is learning to do cartwheels, balance beam, bars and other tumbling skills, she loves it!

First bites of cereal
Lauren took her first few bites of oatmeal tonight, she didn't like it, the doctor just said we could practice with a spoon for the next 1.5 months till 6 months when they start solids.
Z Day - We made it!
We made it to Z day and finished the alphabet, good thing because Emma told me over the weekend I'm tired of letter days - too funny. We celebrated with our friends Liz, Lydia and Makayla by going to breakfast at Zuppas and spending a few freezing cold minutes at the park. Ryan's parents are visiting to help while he is in PA at a conference, Emma and Nana made a scrapbook of pictures of Emma and Lauren.

Vote In Wisconsin
As of this week I started combining letters, to be honest i'm kind of bored with planning letter activities and want to move on to celebrating/learning about holidays, weather, seasons, etc. And I also want to explore Appleton, visit coffee shops, museums, etc. with Emma while we have time. the last letters are tough as well there are not that many exciting things that start with V, W, X, Y, and Z.
On V & W day we just happened to go Vote in Wisconsin, I tried to explain voting to Emma because she was curious, but when I told her the President was like choosing a leader she kept saying she wanted to be the leader (maybe someday). We then Visited the new dunkin donuts by our house because I promised when it opened she could get a donut. We then headed to our friend's house for a Visit with Lydia, Makayla and mommy's friend Liz. In the afternoon we decorated princess Wands I got at the dollar store and leaves and apples.
Lauren started playing for a few minutes in the exersaucer this week, she's a bit small yet so she pretty much sits in the carriage part with a pillow underneath but it builds her core strength and she likes to look around and she also discovered her toes this morning. Lauren has had a rough week with her very first ear infection, poor babe, good thing we had lots of experience with Emma and knew that a super fussy baby for 4 days straight even without a temp meant something was wrong since she is usually a happy smiley baby with very little tears.

Uneventful
The last few letters of the alphabet are pretty tough, U day was pretty uneventful, we went to a class at the Y and then just played at home. I did provide Emma with some sponge blocks I had made and never got to on S day. She loved making houses for her mouse and bunny. She is now using them as princess beds as well. Lauren also turned 4 months this week so I've added a few photos of her from this week, the first picture I took in the rocking chair she had spit up literally the minute I changed her clothes, so you'll notice some wet spots on her new sweater.

Trick or Treat
First we bought a Minnie costume for Emma, then she wanted a bee so I borrowed a bee this week and today she wanted to be a ballerina, good thing we had the outfit already - geez! And our little Laurn was a duck. Emma did great going to houses all by herself this year.
