Outside for a Field Trip

One of the many benefits of a 6 month maternity leave is the opportunity to chaperone Emma's field trip to Cuffs Farm Pumpkin Patch ( I would chaperone even if I was working cause I think it's important)  It was her day off from school but they let us attend on her day home with mommy anyway.  She got to ride a school bus for the first time and was so excited, it was awesome to see how much fun her and best friend Ally were having just riding a bus.  They got to go down a hay slide and ride a hayride to the pumpkin patch where they got to pick 2 gourds, 2 mini pumpkins, 2 ears of corn and 1 big pumpkin.  Grandma came down to watch Lauren for the morning.  After nap (yes she actually napped, I had to work hard to keep her awake on the bus ride home).  We created an Obstacle course in the basement using yoga blocks, pillows, tape and cones.

Lauren has started to love her bouncy seat, Emma helps to bounce her and she giggles.  Emma also had hot chocolate with marshmallows for the first time and loved it, she was so cute with her chocolate face.
