December Part III

This ones for you grandma - Kristin was always called the "bag lady" when she was little, she took a big bag to grandma's everytime she visited, even though it was only 2 blocks away. The 2nd pic is Emma watching Frosty on TV, she decided she needed to be bundled up in boots, coat, hat, apron, and mittens to watch Frosty.

December 2010 Part II

We've had a busy month trying to incorporate art projects, obstacle courses, and much more into Emma's daily routine. She can now count to 15, sing Rudolph and Twinkle Star, knows all of her shapes including the challenging pentagon and octogan. We're now working on ABC's and much more of course. A few pics of our project fun, playing hide and seek with Mommy, she wants me to have the camera ready when she "unhides" herself and peeking through an empty wrapping paper roll. Ryan and I have been super sick for the past week both missing most of work, hopefully we'll be feeling better by Christmas.

December 2010

We've had lots of fun this month so far, lots of art projects, Emma likes to glue, color, tear anything she can and stays focus for quite a while which was very helpful as Ryan traveled 18 of 30 days. We made lava and snow globes, a sensory catepillar, and had a picnic for dinner She also started wearing pigtails this month and played in the snow for the first time.

Fridays with Mommy

Today we made a Santa face with cotton balls, a gingerbread man with buttons and brown sugar and Marshmellow mountains with marshmellows and frosting.

Nov. 30

Emma was learning to meditate with mommy while playing with Kristin's yoga blocks. She also discovered the Santa hat - pretty darn cute!

Christmas #1

We celebrated Christmas and Thanksgiving with the Abeds (who will be on a Hawaiian cruise over Christmas) on Thursday. Emma made cookies with Ashley and loved opening her presents, especially the new princess tent for her room

Pajamas and Baking

Emma decided she wanted to wear 3 different pairs of pajamas, you'll notice the piggy footy pajamas under all the elmo and extra pants.

Inspired by my friend Wendy's regular cooking/baking with her girls, Emma and I made pumpkin bread, wasn't really prepared for emma to want to try to eat the tsp of baking soda (yuck), and shake a "Few" extra bits of spices, but she had a blast. She really liked having her own bowl of oats and apples to eat.

Bows Bows Everywhere

Emma wanted to put all of her bows in her hair at one time - pretty darn cute!

Cutie Pie

My little cutie, I found her Friday reading her "Does a Sheep Wear Mittens" book in her clothes basket. She was bouncing on her red chair while listening to book with mommy.

Chillin with Mommy and Daddy

Emma loves to stack her mega blocks, she keeps asking for more blocks to go higher. She relaxes with Ryan looking at picture books, her favorites are Grandma, Grandpa, Nana, and Papa. Lastly she enjoys a spinach smoothie with mommy before bedtime.

Fun in Maui

So as most of you know the McEneany Family is currently vacationing in Maui. Thought that we would share a couple photos and videos of our time here.

The first photo is from the top of Haleakala at 9400 ft in altitude. It's quite a change from the beach but the two hour trek from Lahaina is worth the trip.

Next up a photo of Emma from the Maui Aquarium. Emma loved looking at all of the fishes especially when we walked through the glass tunnel of the main tank and the rays we swimming above her.

After all of the adventure sometimes you just have to kick back at the pool and get a little sun and rest.

Emma talking to Eddy

Emma is talking a lot these days, new words everyday. In this video, Emma is telling our dog Eddy to go into his puppy bed, play with puppy balls and in the beginning she is calling him Bubba, Ryan occcasionally calls the dog Bubba and Emma has picked up on it this weekend. Super cute. They are chatting while playing puzzles.

Minestrone soup

Ryan was traveling again so Emma helped me make minestone soup, she poured the broth, put in the tomatoes, spinach, beans, pasta, onions, carrots, celery and spices. She was so proud of herself.
