K

Well, today was K day, it didn't quite go as planned, Ryan has been in Atlanta all week so I haven't had as much time to prep as usual.  We had planned to go to the Kaukauna library for story time but Lauren woke up with a slight temp and stuffy so we went to the doctor instead (she was fine by the time we got there, UGH!)  We did have some KIDS (our friends Lydia and Makayla) over to play and for lunch where we ate grape Kabobs.  After nap we hit the movie store for the first time ever to pick out a special movie for movie night.  Emma earned tickets all week for helping mommy toward watching a full princess movie while waiting for daddy to arrive.  Emma also has started to love sweeping the garage as you can see in the picture.  And Lauren tried out the outdoor swing today and loved it!

Kitty's

Emma really seems to like kitty's, probably because we will NEVER have one in our house, she dressed like a Kitty (hello kitty skirt, shirt, socks, undies, and a fur lined sweatshirt) to go to Target with daddy and Lauren joined in wearing her fur (fleece cat print jammies)

Jumping J

We jumped a lot on J day, I made "sensory steps" for Emma to jump down the hall, I glued make up sponges, bubble wrap, fabric, a washcloth and some netting onto cardboard and she jumped down the hall feeling the different textures on her feet.  We made a pasta Jack o Lantern, we learned about color mixing (red and yellow make orange) and then had a playdate with our friend Ally at her house, her parents graciously watched the girls so I could go to boot camp while ryan travels.  We had juice boxes at our picnic outside.

I scream for Ice Scream

Tuesday was I day.  Emma started the day by going to the dentist for the first time, she did great, they only counted her teeth and took a peek, pretty quick visit.  For being super good she got to pick out a toy at Walmart, she chose the Princess playdoh castle (I wasn't too excited thinking she would play with it once and then never again, but she ended up playing with it independently  for like 1.5 hours on her own making hair for Repunzel. I also made emma a pretend play ice cream shop out of play doh ( mint, vanilla, strawberry and chocolate) they smelled just like the real deal. She made banana splits for Lauren and gave me sprinkles and chocolate chips and even decided to use plastic cups as covers. Lauren even got her own spoon.  We made ice painting sticks and because she was really good she got to go to cherry berry for ice cream with daddy after dinner while mommy went to work out class.  She also tried on her snow suit and played pretend winter for a while and then wanted to "ski" with mommy gliding disks.

So Strong!

Growing up WAY too fast

Happy H Day

We made a healthy happy face sunshine waffle for breakfast and then mommy surprised emma with a pretend hair salon complete with a salon menu, manicure and pedicure supplies, hair bows, combs, dryer and a tub to wash mommy's hair. She also did Lauren's hair with a purple bow to match her outfit.  I had pink and purple finger nails and we gave Lauren a baby massage.  My fee for the salon was $10, Ryan played at night and his was $120, too funny.  Emma had ballet class as usual and after nap she played with green and purple slime (this was a big hit from the dollar bin at Target) she learned about different textures, etc.  We also made a glitter pumpkin for our halloween craft and read halloween books at nap time and at night. I also included a funny pic of emma ready to play outside in her pajamas (I gave up trying)

G for Grandma and Grandpa

G is for Grandma and Grandpa day in Green Bay!  Lots of G's.  Emma had a sleepover on Wednesday night at Grandma's (Lauren had diarrhea all day WEd. and I was trying avoid the rest of us getting it), Lauren and I headed up on Thursday morning.  We played an alphabet game of trying to find objects in Grandma's house that started with all the lettters of the alphabet, emma loved it!  We went to storytime at Grandma's library and took Great Grandma out to lunch.  After nap we read the book Silly Frilly Grandma Tilly (who wears a pink wig while babysitting)  See pictures below.

"F"un Day

F day - We had an absolutely Fabulous day.  I set up a Flower shop dramatic play area for Emma in the basement (she loves to play pretend, ) Lauren even got a flower for a few seconds and Ryan turned our tent in the basement into a Fairy fort complete with lights.  Emma had her first ballet class today, she did great! Lauren even wore her tutu.   We had Friends over for lunch and did an indoor picnic because it was super windy outside and then we did Fizzling painting (homemade sidewalk paint then sprayed with vinegar to Fizz and bubble) the girls loved seeing what colors they could mix together.  After nap we fished in the ocean and made a fish in a bottle, she was fascinated by the water balloons, SO I filled up a bunch and we threw them in the tub and then she asked "Can I put on my swimsuit and swim with the balloons?" YES of course and then since she was there we got a bath in the blue tub.  She played for about an hour in the tub.   She also Fed Lauren a bottle. Emma has gotten really good at writing her letters lately we spent a good amount of time writing the days of the week in sidewalk chalk today too.  Lauren was very cooperative today and took a great nap in the afternoon in her pack and play making it a lot easier to give Emma some attention.
